Hydration vs. Moisture
EVERYONE needs moisture! Yes, EVEN your oily skin types. Your skin is your largest organ! It is made of 30{d855275bb5a53a691922ddbe09fd77e36a4f35d1f88aaf3bcf40ae4b44ffef7b} water and lipids. Its function is to protect its lower layers. Once your skin is compromised it can let bacteria in and create oily skin, which is a symptom of dehydrated skin. Knowing the difference between dehydrated skin and dry skin is very important. These two are often confused and can be treated incorrectly.

THE DIFFERENCE
Dehydrated skin lacks water and therefore needs hydration. Dry skin lacks oil and needs to be moisturized. Both skin types need hydration and moisturizer because the two products serve a different purpose for the skin. Dehydrated skin can be moisturized and still feel tight, whereas dry skin can be hydrated but not have enough oil, leading to flaky skin. While moisturizers are formulated to seal moisture into the skin, hydrating products are designed to increase the water content of the skin.
We offer the following hydrating and moisturizing products to address both issues:
HYDRATING PRODUCTS
- n
- HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator: Promotes epidermal health by supporting the skin’s natural ability to replenish its own hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural “water loving” substance that has the ability to absorb water from its surroundings to keep skin hydrated throughout the day. HA5 also provides immediate smoothing of the appearance of fines lines and wrinkles.
- Hydrating Complex: Enhances the benefits of a daily moisturizer and helps replenish your skin’s moisture reservoir.

MOISTURIZING PRODUCTS
- n
- Dermal Repair: Ultra-rich moisturizer reduces transepidermal water loss by forming a barrier over the skin’s surface. By forming this protective seal on the skin’s surface, Dermal Repair reduces the risk of evaporation of existing moisture throughout the day and improves the skin’s smoothness.
- Rejuvenative: For normal to dry skin. Helps to moisturize and rejuvenate the skin.
- Ultra Sheer: For normal to oily skin. Lightweight noncomedogenic moisturizer.

HOW TO APPLY
- n
- Remember to apply hydrating products first and a moisturizer second. This way you are adding hydration and ensuring it stays put throughout the day.
- Using an excessive amount of product doesn’t provide more moisture. It can clog pores and possibly cause breakouts.
- Less is more when using physician grade products, which saves money in the end.
