Mid-Summer Check-In: Don’t Let Vein Issues Slow You Down!
Mid-Summer Check-In: Don’t Let Vein Issues Slow You Down!
As we settle into the heart of summer—complete with lake weekends, baseball games, family vacations, and backyard barbecues—vein treatments might not be top of mind. But believe it or not,
now is actually a great time to consider addressing those vein issues you've been putting off.

Here’s why mid-summer is the sweet spot to start your treatment:
• Flexible Scheduling: Since many people wait until fall to begin vein treatments, our summer schedule tends to be more open. That means it’s easier to book appointments at times that actually work for you—not just the leftovers.
• Vein treatments are a process: If you’re thinking you can knock this out in one visit, think again! Vein treatment typically involves a series of sessions over several months. Waiting until fall might mean you won’t complete treatment by year-end—especially with holiday schedules and insurance deductibles resetting in January. Starting now helps you stay ahead.
• Compression stockings in the summer? Yes, it's possible—and not as miserable as you’d think. We offer sheer and open-toe styles that are lightweight and much more breathable. And since you only need to wear them for a few days after treatment, they won’t interfere with your summer fun for long.
If you’re still not ready to dive into treatment just yet, here are some simple ways to manage your symptoms and stay comfortable for the rest of the season:
• Elevate your legs: Whether you’re on your feet all day at a ballpark or sitting for hours on a road trip or flight, elevating your legs when you can helps reduce swelling, heaviness, and fatigue.
• Compression stockings (yes, again): If daytime wear feels too warm, try wearing them in the evening or even overnight when you're relaxing in the AC. Every bit helps your circulation.
• Keep moving: Staying active helps keep blood flowing and symptoms at bay. Walking, swimming, and even chasing kids around the backyard all make a difference.
It’s not too late to start treatment this year—and you’ll be glad you did when fall (and deductible season) rolls around.
Enjoy the rest of your summer—and don’t let vein issues hold you back!
