Our Story

Dr. Chandra Prasad arrived in Jefferson City in 1996 as a board-certified general surgeon and phlebologist. Intending to help local patients that suffered from painful, varicose veins, he soon realized that many who were suffering would not seek treatment until the late stages of their disease.

To raise awareness for vein disease, Dr. Prasad opened the stand alone vein center in 2007 to provide preventative vein care to the Mid-Missouri community. Since then, greater interest in further wellness treatments arose, encouraging Dr. Prasad to expand his business to new heights.

In 2018, The Genesis Company was born. This new venture now includes a full- service wellness center offering a wide array of cosmetic and wellness services along with its vein center whose staff continues to be solely focused on the medical management of vein disease.  Dr. Prasad and his Genesis team are committed to providing the latest advancements in vein treatments, aesthetic services, hormone replacement therapy, weight loss management, body treatments, laser hair removal, and tattoo removal.
