Making Our Community Beautiful: Capitol Projects
Confidence is a large part of how we view ourselves. Nothing can make us feel more beautiful than the feeling that we are a worthwhile part of our world. For many of us, that is just a given, but for some, feeling productive is harder to come by. That is why this month’s charitable organization is such a value to those it serves. Capitol Projects is a local sheltered workshop for the handicapped in our community. Businesses can outsource jobs and help provide employment for the disabled.
Lori, one of our RNs, chose this organization because it made such a huge impression on her when she visited. Twice, she went there as part of JCMG’s participation in the United Way Day of Caring. She commented on how much pride and care the employees took in their work and what an inspiration it was. I actually went there this year as part of the Day of Caring and wholeheartedly agree. Everyone was excited to show us what they did, and worked efficiently and with great care. They had a sense of pride in their job well done. Hopefully, our donation can let them know that there are people in our community that appreciate the work they are doing. We will share what the donation was and how it will be used in a future newsletter. So, this January, know that a portion of every purchase will benefit Capitol Projects.
Thanks to those that help make this organization the success that it is. If you would like more information on Capitol Projects, or have a business that may have jobs that they could help with, look them up at www.capitolprojectsinc.com.
