Vaser Liposuction

VASER Liposuction

VASER Liposuction

VASER Liposuction is a form of ultrasound-assisted liposuction that combines ultrasound technology with traditional liposuction to achieve precise, sculpted results. VASER Lipo is a tumescent lipo with an added step to liquefy fat cells before they are suctioned out.

Our expert practitioners use VASER technology to selectively target fat cells, preserving surrounding tissues and ensuring a smoother recovery. VASER Liposuction is minimally-invasive but typically cannot remove quite as much fat in one session. Whether you're seeking to enhance your waistline, arms, thighs, or other areas, VASER Liposuction provides a tailored approach to body sculpting, delivering results that align with your natural proportions and aesthetic vision.

VASER Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is VASER Liposuction?

VASER produces superior results by treating areas of fat with ultrasound energy, then gently removing the fat through a small tube inserted under the skin. This minimally invasive process is gentle on the body and supremely effective, giving patients the smooth contours they want with far less pain or recovery time than traditional liposuction. The other unique characteristic is that it promotes skin tightening after the procedure. Clients will notice this occurring over the months following their procedure.

  • Who is a candidate for VASER Liposuction?

Patients who are at a healthy weight and have persistent areas of fat are the ideal candidate. Remember, VASER is not a weight loss tool. It is for body sculpting and removal of fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. You must be in medically good health. We will take a full history and physical to determine if you are a candidate for VASER. It is important that you are as thorough as possible when providing your history and list of medications. This includes herbs and supplements as they can cause bleeding problems in some people. We want you to have the best possible outcome in the safest manner!

  • How does VASER Liposuction work?

VASER is a unique way to remove unwanted fat. The device is based on ultrasound technology, which disrupts the fat cells. A small probe is inserted under the skin and the fat cells are dissolved. Once the fat cells are disrupted, they are gently suctioned out through very small incisions.

  • How do I prepare for VASER Liposuction?

Before your VASER procedure, our nurses will go over your planned procedure in detail. If you are on any blood thinners, we will need to determine if it is safe to stop them for the procedure. The night before your procedure, you should not drink any alcohol. Also, a good night's rest will make you more relaxed and prepared for your VASER liposuction procedure. You should take any medications, such as antibiotics, that the doctor has prescribed. Make sure you have your compression garment with you before you leave for our office. Wear loose-fitting clothing to our office as it will be easier to get into after the procedure. If you have any questions or concerns, you should call us so that we may answer them for you. We want you to be as stress free as possible for your procedure.

  • What can I expect during VASER Liposuction?

Once you arrive, the nurses will obtain your consent to treat and answer any questions. Then they will administer any medications the doctor has ordered. The doctor will come in and mark the areas to be treated. He or she will answer any final questions you may have. The nurses will then position you on the treatment table and clean your skin. Sterile drapes will be placed on you to keep the area to be treated clean. The doctor will then make several areas numb and insert a needle to fill the area with the anesthetic solution called tumescent anesthesia. This allows you to be very comfortable while the doctor is working. This solution will also help decrease the amount of bleeding during the procedure. Once you are numb, small incisions will be made to allow the insertion of the VASER cannula. This cannula emits the energy which will dissolve the fat cells. After the VASER portion has been completed, the doctor will insert suction cannula to gently remove the fat cells. Once all the fat has been removed, the nurses will dress the incisions and help you into your compression garment. We purposely leave the incisions open so that more fat can come out over the next few days.

  • What will I need to do after VASER Liposuction?

The first few days after VASER liposuction may be a little messy. The incisions are left open to drain so that more fat and fluid comes out and therefore will not collect under your skin. You will benefit from wearing clothes you do not mind staining. Also, you should use an impermeable barrier on your bed or chair in case any fluid gets on it. The morning after your procedure, you will remove your garment and dressings. You may take a shower and no special soaps are needed. Once you have dried off, dress the incisions with gauze and reapply your compression garment. Normal activities are okay based on how you are feeling. You should avoid exercising until your first visit back with us in a week. Also, you should not soak in a bath tub, hot tub or swimming pool. You may take any over-the-counter medicine for discomfort or use what the doctor has prescribed for you. Walking frequently will help keep you loose and circulate the blood in your legs. If you have any questions or concerns, you should call us!

  • How long will the results from VASER Liposuction last?

Once the fat cells have been removed by VASER, they will not return. In other words, it is permanent! However, if you do not maintain a healthy lifestyle, you will gain weight in other areas that still have fat cells. Also, in the treated area, there will be some fat left and it, too, will gain weight if you do.

  • Will my insurance cover VASER Liposuction?

VASER Liposuction is considered a cosmetic procedure and therefore will not be covered by insurance companies. We do offer CareCredit to finance the cost of removal. Just ask our staff and they will be glad to assist you!
